Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQ)
I flew my rocket to 23,462 feet last year. Can I join the 20k
club?
You certainly can join the 20k club, however, you’ll be required
to fly your rocket again after March 1, 2006 to any altitude above 10k
and follow the other requirements to join. Unfortunately your flight prior
to March 1, 2006 may not used to qualify.
I
want to use an EX motor, can I still join?
Commercial motors provide a reliable tested standard for more reliable
flights and are recommended both for reliability and safety. However,
there is no restriction on use of EX motors for gaining membership to
the Extreme Altitude Club.
I
plan for my flight to take place at a non-Tripoli launch, is that ok?
Membership in NAR and TRA is encouraged by Extreme Rocketry as we feel
strongly these organisations help provide a wealth of knowledge and experience
often not found easily by individual hobbyists. That said, as long as
your flight was done legally, it does have to take place at an official
NAR or Tripoli launch.
I’m
already a member of the 10k club, but I am planning on completing a flight
to 35k. Do I join as a new member?
Just fill out the same form as you used before. We’ll take care
of it from there.
